Sencha Isagawa tea comes from the Isagawa region in Shizuoka, one of Japan's most renowned tea-producing areas. It is grown using the Yabukita cultivar, the most common and popular tea variety in Japan. The region’s high-altitude environment and unique climate conditions contribute to the slow growth of the tea leaves, which results in a delicate and aromatic flavor profile. This tea is processed using the traditional asamushi (light steaming) method, which helps preserve its fresh, grassy taste and vibrant green color. It is known for its fine balance of sweetness and mild astringency​.
